Finally, here is our invite! It has five inserts (main invite, two entourage cards, RSVP and "At Home" card, and a map). We didn't want just small doses of red by using it just as an accent and/or font color, so we went for full color invites. Design-wise, they are very simple but rather elegant, which is just the way I like it. I thought it would be overkill to use a design that's too elaborate given that the invites are already printed in full color (and not a subtle color at that). The paper used for the invites is a metallic paper that has a slight shimmer to it making the red color even more vibrant. For a special touch, we used merlot-colored wax seals (with gold highlighting ink) for the envelopes. We cannot thank our invite supplier enough for executing the design very well, and for being very accommodating to our "special" requests. From the multiple proof revisions (I'm OC with name spellings :D) to finding the right gold-ink pen for the RSVP cards, they have been very obliging. Thanks to Alex and Malu of SweetKnottings!
